Recruitment for Treasurer

The Role:

The incumbent will be responsible for the management and operation of the Finance Department. He/she will be responsible for supervision of other staff, liaison with International HQ, supervision and auditing of financial management of other offices in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall supervision for the staff of the Finance Department

• Manage full sets of accounts, closing of monthly/year-end financial reporting on a timely basis

• Prepare annual budget

• Advise management on funding strategies to maximize opportunities.

• Prepare & support the compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing

• Coordinate with external parties such as banks, company secretary, local tax and government authorities

• Liaise with external stakeholders, such as auditors and regulatory authorities, to ensure compliance and maintain strong relationships

• Ensure SIM East Asia comply with the requirement of Singapore Government as a charity organization

• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned 

Job Requirements:    

• Singapore Citizen or PR

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or CIMA is a plus

• Proven experience in a similar finance controller or senior accounting role

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes

• Ability to work collaboratively in a hands-on fashion with good communication and people skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail

• Strong ethics and integrity in handling financial matters

• Adaptable to changing business environments and able to work under pressure
