SIM Celebrates 131st Anniversary 庆祝创立 131 周年纪念日

SIM proudly celebrated its 131st anniversary with a vibrant event themed "Stronger Together" at the Singapore Bible House on 29 November 2024. The gathering brought together church leaders, supporters, partners, donors and well-wishers to reflect on SIM's enduring mission and the collective efforts in advancing the Gospel.

The evening began with SIM’s International Director, Phil Bauman speaking on “SIM’s Global Vision” and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the supporters for their unwavering commitment over the years. The high light of the celebration was a powerful address by Rev. Dr David Wong, who delivered the theme message, “Stronger Together in Fulfilling the Great Commission.” In his speech, he emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in advancing SIM’s mission. Rev. Chua Yeow San from Grace Singapore Chinese Christian Church, affirmed the crucial role of church partnership with SIM, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration that has been foundational to the organization’s journey. SIM Missionary Odyuo Khochobeni, from North East India, serving in Kenya, shared a moving testimony which illustrated the transformative impact of sending partnerships, and offered a powerful real-world example of SIM’s mission at work. SIM East Asia’s Regional Director Watson Rajaratnam outlined the region’s Strategic plan and Vision for the coming years and launched an important project focusing on a South Asian Country which needs funding.

The celebration emphasized the theme “Stronger Together,” reminding attendees of the transformative power of collaboration and partnership in advancing SIM’s Purpose, Mission and Vision for the future.

SIM 东亚区于11月29日在新加坡圣经大楼举办了以《携手共进》为主题的感恩纪念晚会，庆祝创立 131 周年。此次活动聚集了各教会领袖、支持者、合作伙伴、奉献者和代祷者，共同回顾 SIM 百年来不变的使命异象和在推动福音工作中的努力。

晚会在 SIM 国际总主任包腓力的热烈欢迎和分享《SIM 的全球异象》中拉开帷幕，他对长期以来支持者们的坚定承诺表达了深深的感激。庆典的亮点是王惟发牧师/博士的主题分享《携手共进，完成伟大使命》，他强调了团结与合作在推动 SIM 使命中的重要性。来自新加坡华人基督教会怀恩堂的蔡耀杉牧师则分享及肯定了教会与差会合作伙伴关系的重要作用，强化合作精神乃是 SIM 福音工作发展历程中的基石。

来自印度东北部、于肯尼亚服事的 SIM 宣教士 Odyuo Khochobeni 分享了感人的见证，显示了差派伙伴关系的转变性影响，并为SIM 的使命提供了强有力的见证。最后，SIM 东亚区总主任华生叙述了未来几年的策略规划，并启动了一个重点聚焦于某个喜马拉雅山小国的福音项目并提出藉着奉献参与宣教工作的挑战。

最后，晚会中再次强调了 “携手共进” 的主题，提醒所有与会者，合作伙伴关系并携手共进的力量，在推动 SIM 使命和异象中乃是至关重要并不可或缺。
